The steam flow meter vortex type belongs to high temp flow meter, at the same time, it is one kind of the vortex type flow meter. The steam flow meter vortex type is a kind of velocity flowmeter. Intelligent vortex type flow meter is a volumetric flowmeter that measures the volumetric flow of gas, steam, or liquid, or mass flow according to the Karman vortex principle. The instrument uses advanced differential technology, with isolation, shielding, filtering, and other measures to overcome similar products, poor shock resistance, small signal data disorder, and other issues, and the use of a unique sensor packaging technology and protective measures to ensure product reliability. The Products are basic and complex two types, the basic measurement of a single flow signal; composite can simultaneously achieve temperature, pressure, flow measurement. Each type has a whole, split structure to accommodate different installation environments. How to choose a flow meter?
 
Caliber determination
 
Different sensor calibers have different measurement ranges, and the measurement range of each caliber changes with the type of the medium to be measured and the temperature and pressure of the working condition.
For gas and liquid, first, determine the approximate flow range of the medium, and determine the caliber of the sensor through the look-up table method; For superheated steam, The caliber of the sensor is determined by the temperature and pressure of the working condition is determined, and its density is determined by the look-up table method, and the sensor caliber is determined by the look-up table method through the density and the approximate flow range.
 
★ Define the flow meter configuration
 
· Decide whether to use remote or on-site display
· Choose the remote transmission type, if it is saturated steam, you should choose temperature automatic compensation density or pressure automatic density compensation; if it is superheated steam, you should choose temperature and pressure to compensate density at the same time; other media need to be compensated according to the actual situation.
· When choosing an intelligent flow totalizer, if you only need to display parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature, etc., you can choose an intelligent flow totalizer with a digital tube display or liquid crystal display; if you need to trace historical data and have a memory function, you should choose a smart flow totalizer. Paperless recorder for flow totalization;
· No matter which intelligent flow totalizer you choose, you should consider whether it needs to have RS458 or RS232 communication interface; and consider whether you need to configure a backup power supply so that the meter can measure normally when there is a sudden power failure (different configurations have different working hours, generally more than 24-48 hours).
· When choosing an intelligent flow totalizer, you should consider whether it is necessary to provide a meter box, place the smart flow totalizer in it, hang it on the wall, and prevent the setting parameters from being adjusted at will;
· When choosing the remote transmission type, it should be considered whether a wireless flow monitoring system is needed to realize real-time monitoring and management of the flow of each pipeline;
· If the measured medium is flammable and explosive substances or there are flammable and explosive gases in the measurement environment, anti-riot sensors and anti-riot measuring systems should be selected.
